Working Worlds

Working Worlds Co-Working - the modern form of work In the Haus der Wirtschaft (HDW), a new co-working space was created in cooperation with "Witzig The Office Company", which is intended to invite people to work in a pleasant and professional atmosphere and to exchange ideas with each other. Dominik Rieder Since its opening in 2021, the Haus der Wirtschaft has stood for innovation, business and services. The house is intended to serve as a meeting and working place. Now, a co-working space with a total of 24 workstations has been put into operation on the first floor. The workstations can be booked flexibly by the hour or day, or for weeks or months on a temporary basis and tailored to individual needs. The flexible spaces can be reserved online via the HDW booking tool (portal.hdw.ch), while the fixed workstations can be obtained from the conference and event center (TEC) team. Cooperation with Witzig The co-working space was designed in cooperation with "Witzig The Office Company and furnished with modern, functional and inviting furniture from their range. Witzig is the leading provider of office consulting, services and products and is present at around eight locations throughout Switzerland. The Basel location now has two 46 Baselland Business

workstations in the co-working space at HDW in Pratteln. Witzig thinks and makes offices holistically and promotes the development of people and the workplace in transformation. From interior design to office furnishings, new spaces and working worlds are created. Ideal environment for start-ups and individual companies The co-working offers in the Haus der Wirtschaft are ideal for start-ups and individual companies, but also for mobile field staff or project-related employees who want to use flexible workplaces and work flexibly in terms of time. The advantages are obvious - through the demand-oriented and concentrated use of workstations, rental costs are lower, and services such as Internet, printers, catering, sanitary facilities and cleaning can be shared among the users of the co-working space and save high acquisition costs. Mutual exchange and inspiration The co-working space is also intended to give users the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas and inspiration with one another. Likewise, networks for mutual support can be established. Studies show that productivity in a co-working space is significantly higher than in a home office, for example, because there are fewer distractions. This exchange is possible just around the corner from the coworking space at the in-house BOOST eat & drink, where everything from sandwiches to bowls, from pasta to crunchy salad creations is on offer for both big and small appetites. Attractive prices Flexible workstations are available for as little as CHF 10 per hour, while fixed workstations are available for weekly rentals starting at CHF 150. The longer a workstation is used, the more attractive the conditions become. A monthly rent, for example, amounts to CHF 450, a quarterly rent to CHF 1250 and an annual rent to CHF 3500. In addition to the workstation with daylight, the price includes WLAN, printer (fixed number of pages), whiteboard, flipchart, electricity, cleaning and treated drinking water from the water station. For weekly rentals and above, coffee vouchers and lockable compartments are also included, and for monthly rentals and above, free use of the in-house fitness center. www.hdw.ch/arbeitsplaetze/co-working Baselland Business 47
